Wen-Jian Chen
I strive to integrate clinical experience in psychiatry with approaches from cognitive neuroscience to address a wide range of exercise psychology topics, including emotion regulation, motivation, cognitive control, and addictive behaviors. My current research primarily focuses on how exercise interventions influence mental health and underlying neural mechanisms. In the future, I aim to adopt a more integrative perspective within exercise psychology to explore the interactive mechanisms between physical activity and psychological behavior, and to apply these findings to clinical practice and health promotion.

Jedi Chong-Chih Tsai
I am a psychiatrist. I am trying to understand more about the interaction between neuroplasticity and cognitive development in children and adolescents. I am also interested in building an EEG-based complementary diagnostic tool for attention deficit disorders.

Jennifer Yang
I constantly devote myself to social and emotional health development for children and teens for years and am equipped with executive experience in the social initiative with NGOs. Due to my role as an advanced project consultant, I used to involve in the discussion in new technology development and ethical review forums which arouse my awareness of the permanent influence by digital technology on human’s well-being. My PhD research focuses on how to bring gains in attention development in Digital Native Generation.

My research interests include understanding human cognition processes and how are they related to brain dynamics. I am a DPhil student in Visual Cognition Lab, headed by Dr. Chi-Hung Juan.
My doctorial study focuses on electrophysiological mechanisms of visual working memory. In particular, the study will involve exploring linear and nonlinear dynamical features of visual working memory using behavioral modeling, EEG/MEG recording, and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques such as transcranial alternative current stimulation (tACS). |
My research interests focus on the interactions among physical activity, fitness exercise, cognitive function, emotion, and aging. Using non-invasive techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), I investigate how exercise influences brain activity and emotional regulation mechanisms. Through this work, I aim to understand how physical exercise promotes brain plasticity and mental well-being, providing neurophysiological evidence to support healthy aging.
