VCL is a great supporter of conferences. People at VCL participate at all level - local, national, and international level conferences. We have two objectives. First, we try to understand what others are doing in cognitive neuroscience area, particularly in visual cognition so that we can learn from them and collaborate with our work. Second, in the conference, we often present our preliminary finding of our experiment so that we can validate our work, listen others viewpoints, and collect feedback. This helps us to find ‘flaws or ‘misses’ in our work at the early stages. Moreover, we try to find collaborators to leverage synergies from our work. VCL not only participate (talk or listen) in various conferences, but also we are actively involved in organizing the conferences, such as inviting worldwide experts, facilitate stay for them, and arranging conference venue, and so on.
