Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive technique to study human brain. TMS uses electromagnetic induction to induce weak electric currents using a rapidly changing magnetic field, which can cause activity in specific or general parts of the brain with little discomfort, allowing for study of the brain's functioning and interconnections (Wikipedia). Transcranial magnetic stimulation has been used to investigate almost all areas of cognitive neuroscience, including attention, memory, movement, speech, and vision.
